Compliments Are Nice

Are you a human who compliments other humans?  I've really taken notice lately to how many humans "hate" on other humans.

Recently my family and I were at an event and I overheard someone sharing some wonderful news so I ran over and threw out some compliments and then...  Mrs Debby Downer quickly jumped in with all her hating remarks while trying make her hate sound concerned and nice.  I didn't have my pie of be nice to humans to slap her with so I just complimented again when her negativity stopped.

Where's the love?  Oh here's another, you show someone or tell someone about something amazing and they have to ONE UP YOU.  "Well that's cool, but what I have is wayyyyy better."  Why can't humans acknowledge another humans without having to show or express why "they" are "better."

Now that I"m a Mommy I'm definitely running away fast from negative Mommy's who speak negatively about children and babies.  OOOOOHHHHHHH good example right here- the new Gerber Baby was posted today and my goodness Mommy's left the most hateful comments ABOUT A BABY!  WOW.  Kairi is a beautiful baby and wow did some of the hating Mommy's really show their ugliness with their comments.  I can only hope that those women grow quickly so they aren't teaching their children that same hatefulness.
-------and we wonder why bullies are in schools...  it starts with the parents.  Lead by example.

Let's all take a moment and ground ourselves.  Go frolic on a beach, have a good nap, workout, read a good back, watch a happy movie, or MAKE LOVE!  Do whatever it takes to get that negativity out of you.

Love is so much better.

Happiness is choice.

Let's all be nice humans.

Quality Time With My Family Is The Best Time

I don't want to me a Mommy who just wants to get things done.  I want to be a Mommy who spends quality time with my baby boy and my family first.  Quality time is something you can never get back nor try to replace.  Quality time for me means putting my phone down and giving my family my undivided attention.  Through my Mental Health Career over the years I learned children and teenagers just want their parents to put their phones down.  I don't want my children to feel that social media is more important then them because it's not.  Social media is a facade of a life where people paint pictures of either what they want their lives to be or flat out lie.  Yes, I have a Facebook and an Instagram but it doesn't run my life.  I hope to have my children gain from me, you don't need your phone in front of you 24/7.

Laundry will eventually get done, the dishes will get done and I'm fine with putting them off because I would rather see my son's smile, talk to my Man when he gets home from work, eat dinner together, cuddle up on the couch with my family.  These are all things which can't be replaced.  When I feed my son I don't answer the phone.  When my family is watching a movie or eating dinner together-I don't answer the phone because phone life can wait, this is family time.

When I go to my family members home's I make an effort to set my phone down and even better, leave it in my purse on vibrate because people calling and texting can wait.  I would rather give my family my undivided attention then run for my phone.  Yes, at times I do wish cell phones never happened.  They are fun, but what if they never happened?  Humans would actually be forced to talk to one another.  It's the most annoying thing to me when someone is holding my baby and then freak out because OMG their phone is going off and they make a mad dash to get to their phone.  Okay you phone controlled human, give me my baby back!  NOW!

When you're around your family remember what quality time is.  Talk to one another, if you're going to bring up the person's past speak about things which lift them up-don't focus on their past failures nor negative personality traits.  Build them up!  Put your phone down and if you're brave enough turn it off or put it on silent out of eye site because that person calling you or texting you can wait.  Theres nothing like the time you spend with someone uninterrupted when they are physically in front of you.

Now go be a nice human.

12 Weeks vs 15 Weeks Pregnant

12 weeks

15 Weeks

As you can see the top picture is our baby at 12 weeks and the bottom is our baby at 15 weeks.  In the bottom picture baby is turned to the side with arm up (waving to all).  I thought it was just a big nose.  haha.  Doc says the arm is up, I said of course baby is saying hi and waving!  Let me think what I want...  I waved back of course.  Of course baby had an audience in the room, my MAN, my MOM, my MOTHER IN LAW, and ME!  What a nice doctor to let the whole crew in, thanks Doc!

For the first time the pictures above were not taken by me...  tear drops...  I didn't get to take our babies first picture as a Photographer.  Well, I sure as heck will be taking them once baby pops out and I can't wait!!!

At this time today we are now 16 weeks pregnant and super excited.  As far as changes with me, a ton of food aversions.  I don't drink the vanilla almond milk I use to drink daily (all throughout the day), I've turned my back on eggs, meat grosses me out, however I still eat it.  The food aversions have not changed my appetite, I STILL EAT A LOT!  Which is crazy because at my 15 week appointment the doctor said I lost three pounds...  huh?  what?  how?  I eat ice cream almost every other day  now and snack all day long between meals and definitely don't workout the way I use to at all, if any.   I was obviously advised to put on weight "you should put on a pound a week" well, well I'm trying Doc.  Not sure where all the extra calories are going, maybe to my brain.

I didn't feel pregnant until about 8 weeks into pregnancy
1) boobs grew... finally!  The soreness kicked in
2) food aversions started
3) extremely tired everyday, which is better now in 2nd trimester
4) extremely light cramping
5) I only threw up twice during the first trimester
6) Started sleeping like a champ!

This is such an exciting time for the both of us as this will be both our first!  What am I scarred of, LABOR!  Other then that I couldn't be more happy!

We weren't trying for a baby, it just happened.  I met the man of my dreams and it just happened!  My whole entire life changed this year with new love, new life, new home, a new pet (Tigger the crazy kitten), new ride, beautiful outlook on life always, blog in new directions-everywhere like always!

If you've recently become pregnant as well congrats!  If you're already a mom, my hat is off to ya!  If you're hoping for a baby it will happen just when it's suppose to, so until then keep living life as everything falls into place exactly when it's meant and baby dust to ya!

I love you all!
